Their children Rebecca J., Alexander Hamilton, Mary E. and Harrison E. were listed as living with them, as were Alexander's paternal grandparents, Charles Doty and Margaret Montross. The dwelling appears to have been a boarding house, mostly for other brickmakers, apparently run by the Dotys. They don't seem to have owned the building, however.2
